The Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre, located inside the newly renovated Hellems Arts and Sciences Building, was built to commemorate Mary Rippon, one of the first women to attain faculty status at an American university, who began teaching during CU's second semester in 1878. The theatre hosts many performances throughout the year.
